Recommended for the beginner downwind foil rider looking at the best available set up to make downwind as easy as possible, we recommend using the Kalama Performance E3 boards to help this process.
* To downwind, we recommend that you are at a intermediate foil level and can link waves/ pump. Downwind foiling should be done with at least one other person, PFD & communication with land.

You can expect this foil to have maximum initial lift with great control when riding even the smallest bumps. The GT 1400 has the perfect balance of speed and lift with a really good low end yet a great top end for their size.
** As you progress with down-winding, going smaller on your front wing will enable you to ride faster in the bumps but keep in mind the smaller the front foil the less initial lift, make sure when making this choice the conditions favor the smaller wing & your ability matches that too.
EZ - Great for learning, controlled non accelerating turns & in pocket surfing.
GT - Best of all aspects, does everything really well
RS- Amazing speed, pumps fantastic but doesn't quite turn like a GT.
FTL - The L means long, making the fuselage longer for greater stability.
FTS - The S means short, making fuselage shorter for faster, tighter tuns.
